Kimberly Pittman is a licensed and nationally certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority. She graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. After completing this program, she worked at Austin State Hospital before returning to school to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Virginia in 2013.
Kim’s medical background includes providing care in inpatient settings as a Registered Nurse.

As a PMHNP, she has offered services across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, group homes, special needs clinics, and telehealth. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
In addition, Kim earned her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), demonstrating her specialized expertise in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and other reproductive mental health challenges.
Kim’s purpose in treatment is to foster a setting of openness and acceptance. She strives to ensure her patients feel heard and that their needs are being met, working collaboratively with therapists and other medical providers to help each individual achieve their treatment goals.


Kim moved to North Carolina in 2021 to be closer to the mountains and beaches. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, live music, food, and traveling with her husband and dog Luna.
