Kimberly Pittman is a licensed and nationally certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority. She graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2010. After completing this program she went to work for the Austin State Hospital before returning to school to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Virginia in 2013.

Kim’s medical background consists of providing treatment in an inpatient setting as a Registered Nurse. As a PMHNP, she has provided services for all ages in several settings including inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, group homes, special needs clinics and telehealth. She has experience in treating various psychiatric conditions including but not limited to: Depression, PTSD, OCD, Anxiety, Bipolar, etc.

Kim’s purpose in treatment is to provide a setting of openness and acceptance. She wants her patient’s to feel that they are heard and that their needs are being met. She will work with therapists as well as medical providers to make sure you are successful in obtaining your treatment goals.

Kim moved to North Carolina in 2021 to be closer to the mountains and beaches. In her spare time she enjoys reading, live music, food and traveling with her husband and two dogs, Luna and Sir Archibald.
