Shanice Matos is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority. She graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University located in Lexington, Kentucky. Her background includes working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Medical Surgical unit for 5 years, Adult Behavioral Health for 1 year, and Hospice/Rehab for 2 years. Shanice treats individuals from ages 5 and older. She has experience with treating individuals who live every day with anxiety, depression, autism, dementia, PTSD and ADHD. 

Shanice believes in providing culturally competent care that addresses the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of individuals from all backgrounds. She strives to build a therapeutic relationship with all patients to facilitate a safe environment. She uses a team-based approach to ensure that individuals receive the optimum care from all disciplines involved in their treatment plan. She also takes pride in her patient-centered care that allows individuals to feel a sense of autonomy and respect, while choosing the direction of their care.
