Kayla Reese is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in children, adolescent, and family counseling. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fayetteville State University with a concentration in Child and Family Services and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from American University, with a minor in Sociology. While completing her master’s degree, Kayla gained experience working with children and adolescents at Cape Fear Valley as well as with the Cumberland County Guardian ad Litem and Family Court.Working from a strengths-based perspective, Kayla utilizes a variety of evidenced-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Family Systems Theories to support children and their families. She provides a safe and supportive space for clients to explore life issues, develop coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and realize personal goals.Through a collaborative and individualized approach, Kayla empowers clients to take an active role in the healing process.
