I am Demetria Murphy, a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience and a strong commitment to restorative justice and community healing. My journey has fueled my passion for supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, especially those transitioning from incarceration back into society.

As a Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor Associate (LCAS-A) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), I specialize in providing comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. My work focuses on restorative justice, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and reintegrate into their communities with dignity.

I hold multiple certifications, including Certified Financial Social Worker and Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Facilitator, which enhance my ability to address the diverse needs of those I serve. My commitment to restorative justice extends beyond clinical work, as I actively engage in advocacy and community initiatives aimed at systemic change.

In addition to my clinical and advocacy work, I co-founded Brains Over Bullets (BOB) and Heal the Ville (HTV), initiatives that address gun violence and foster community dialogue. These platforms create safe spaces for education, discussion, and action, promoting healing and positive change within our communities.

My dedication to restorative justice is reflected in my role as a board member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Reentry Council and Vice-Chairwoman for the Fayetteville Human Relations Commission. I am deeply committed to empowering individuals and communities through holistic care, education, and advocacy.
