John “Tyler” Gifford is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Pembroke and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Mars Hill University. While attending University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Tyler gained experience in providing individual and group therapy as well as facilitating support groups for children and adolescents who struggled with physical, verbal, and sexual aggression.

Tyler enjoys working with a variety of populations including the LGBTQ community, later adolescents, couples, families, and members of the Armed Forces. He has maintained compassion to empower clients to be the best version of themselves that they can.

Tyler believes that an eclectic approach to providing therapy is what helps people to achieve their inner greatness. By utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, System-Perspective, and Strengths Perspective he will engage clients in what manner that best meets their needs. Tyler provides a safe, confidential, and empowering space for people from all walks of life. In Tyler’s approach, he engages client’s past to help each client see for themselves why their experiences can affect their present moment.
