Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Campbell University. Shannon has been in the counseling profession for the last 18 years and has experience in various settings including: nonprofit, state agency, outpatient/private practice, and the school system. Her specialties and professional interests include: crisis & trauma, child abuse & sexual assaults, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, life transitions & stress, coping skills and anger management.  She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds to provide clients a safe, confidential place to work through life’s challenges. Her approach to counseling is integrative and tailored to meet the treatment needs of each client. Goals often include: managing and overcoming anxiety and stress; surviving and processing grief and loss, managing life transitions and adjustments; improving mood and overcoming depression; enhancing self-esteem; improving relationships; improving emotional and behavioral issues.
