I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from the University of Maryland and my Master's degree of Psychology Counseling from Fayetteville State University.

I have completed my one-year internship at a local mental health and substance abuse treatment provider (CommuniCare) where I developed a passion for working with people who are struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. Over the years, I worked with a diverse set of clients on substance abuse and underlying mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, adjustment concerns, and trauma. I use various evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy and acceptance therapy, which are always tailored to the needs and preferences of each client.

I understand that it can be very daunting to ask for help or to explore a new and unknown territory in one’s life, therefore I strive to provide warmth and understanding for my clients while assisting them on their new journey and guiding them through each individual therapy. I will always ensure that you are comfortable, that you don’t feel judged, and that your therapy is going forward at a pace that you chose.
