Tomeka Johnson is a License Clinical Social Worker Associate. She received a Master of Social Work Degree from Fayetteville State University. Tomeka is passionate about healing and restoration. She offers tools that allow clients to regain their life, identity and power so that they can live a self-sufficient and empowering life within their community. She is ethical and approaches used are evidence based.
Tomeka believes in Culturally Appropriate Interventions strategies for clients of different cultures. The approaches and technique used are culturally sensitive. She has several years of experience working with Hispanic and Indigenous families.
She strives to make sure her sessions are creative, engaging and effective. Lastly, she wants to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients and provide a non-judgmental environment for healing to transpire.
During and after graduation, she worked in various mental health settings. She worked as a school social worker, a psychotherapist from a county hospital, several community mental health agencies, and a treatment facility that served clients suffering with addictions, trauma, and sexual abuse. She spent most of her time working with Children, Adolescences, Teens and Families. She encourages her clients to pursue a holist approach to health, incorporating exercise, proper sleep, and nutrition and activities they enjoy.
