Ellen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 27 years of clinical counseling experience in Arizona until 2017, when she joined family in Fayetteville, NC to practice. She earned her Master’s in Counseling and (C.A.G.S) Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Assumption College in Worcester Massachusetts in 1986 after completing her Bachelor’s in psychology and philosophy from Boston State College. Her professional career began with program development of Supported Employment for the seriously mentally person in New Hampshire. She was given a National Distinguished Service Award in 1987 for this work in the field of medical and vocational rehabilitation. Then in 1994, pursued her passion for counseling in Arizona to join family and friends.Ellen is a person who really enjoys working with people to help them to get through life’s challenges. She is holistic, client centered, which puts her focus on what the client needs, also strength based, and collaborative with her approach to therapy. Her goal is to help people reach a place of stability and well equipped with coping skills for both present and future challenges.Ellen works with ages children 5+, teens, adults, and older adults. Her specialties include Child Family Treatment (CFT), treatment for Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, PTSD, Trauma, Bipolar Disorders, ADHD, children’s behavioral issues and Christian Faith based preferences. She is also sensitive to individual culture, and co-occurring substance disorders.
